We advise that adults preview the exhibition and use discretion before
bringing children through the galleries on the second floor (The War Against
the Jews).
Parents can shape a visit to the Museum by visiting the first and
third floors (Jewish Life A Century Ago and Jewish Renewal) with younger
children and by determining in advance the preparedness of their children
for parts, or all, of the sensitive material on the second floor. In the
special exhibitions there may be some material relating to encountering the Holocaust
that may be disturbing to children.
Family Guide
The Museum's family guide, You are a Museum Detective. The Case: Looking
for Heritage in All the Right Places, contains a tour of the first
floor with Museum and at-home activities to help children learn how to
use artifacts to learn about their own family's heritage and traditions.
Ages 7-11. Available at the admissions desk.
The Museum often offers fun and educational public programs for families. Click here for a list of upcoming public programs.
