The mission of the Young Friends of the Museum is to inspire and involve the young professional community (ages 21-40) of the metropolitan area through social, educational, and philanthropic programming, to celebrate Jewish heritage, to carry the torch of remembrance of the Holocaust, and to shape the next generation of Jewish leadership.

$50 - Young Friends Membership

Young Friends Members receive the Museum's Official Membership Card, two free admission passes to the Museum, a 15% discount in the Museum Shop, a subscription to the Museum newsletter, and our seasonal calendar of Museum events and programs. PLUS, ticket discounts for all Young Friends programs and other major Museum fundraising events.

$360 - Young Friends Sustaining Membership                        
Includes all of the benefits of a basic membership plus a      

complimentary ticket to the Young Friends annual

Hanukkah Party.                           


$500 - Young Friends Circle of Hope                                         
Includes all of the benefits of a basic membership plus a      

complimentary ticket to the Generation to Generation dinner.


$1,000 - Young Friends Curator's Circle                                   
Patron members at this level receive an invitation to an         

exclusive event with the Museum curator and senior staff,

and a complimentary ticket to the Museum's Golf and

Tennis Outing.


$2,500 - Young Friends Director's Circle                                  
Patron members at this level receive a copy of a Museum      

book or catalog, special services to assist with event

ticketing,an escorted tour of the Museum for up to 10

guests, and a complimentary ticket to the annual Heritage

Dinner.


$5,000 - Young Friends Chairman's Circle                               
Patron members at this level receive all the benefits of the    

Director's Circle membership, including a complimentary

ticket to the annual Heritage Dinner, and an invitation to

an exclusive event with the Museum's Chairman, the

Honorable Robert M. Morgenthau.

In celebration fo the 10th Anniversary of the Museum, the Young Friends cordially invite you to join us on our terrace to enjoy an elegant Wine and Vodka tasting, a delicious buffet, and breathtaking views of the New York harbor with great company and fine jazz. Proceeds for this event will help to fund the Museum's Teacher Education Program, which serves over 2,000 public, Catholic, and Jewish school teacher annually through an array of symposia and professional development sessions. Tickets are $55 for Young Friends members, $65 for non-members. There are a limited number of tickets available--advance purchase recommended.

Up-and-coming Jewish artists took the stage for a dynamic evening of downtown’s best comedy and music. The festivities continued with an after-party on the Museum’s third floor terrace overlooking New York Harbor.

The Young Friends took a unique look into the the life of Irene Nemirovsky, the subject of an upcoming special exhibit.

The story of Irène Némirovsky and her unfinished Suite Française is more than literary history. It is a story of a woman and her daughters, of promise and legacy, of identity and loss. It is the story of a Russian Jew, a Catholic convert, a French woman of letters.

The evening continued with cocktails and hor d'ouevres.

The Generation to Generation Dinner, Thursday, November 15, 2007

Young Friends Dinner Co-Chairs: Stacey Saiontz and Seth Weisleder. 

Sponsored by the Museum’s Associates and Young Friend’s Divisions, this gathering of Holocaust survivors, their families, friends, and supporters pays tribute to the six million Jews who perished in the Holocaust, while honoring those individuals who survived to rebuild their families and greater cultural communities. In recognition of the Museum's 10th anniversary, the dinner was held at the Museum for the first time. Accompanying the event was a dinner Journal with ads from individuals and businesses. A special private Young Friend’s reception was held following the dinner.
